Welcome! Bianca Eats Plants is devoted to plant-based eating and compassionate living. I hope to show that living a vegan lifestyle does not mean you miss out on anything at all. This blog is a result of my love for cooking and baking, as well as my wish to help others find this lifestyle more accessible. I know how challanging it can be to find quality resources online that share affordable, easy and delicious recipes that don’t require complicated gadgets or spending 8 hours in the kitchen. This is a space where you can access simple, hearty and delicious recipes; some of which are cheap and quick, others are a bit more pricey and take a bit longer to prepare. Be sure to check out the resources tab to access a range of vegan-related info! Whether this space opens your mind to plant-based eating, provides you with new recipes to try out or reassures you that you aren’t alone, I hope it is helpful!

ABOUT THE BLOGGER

Hello! I’m Bianca and I live in South Africa. When I’m not in the kitchen, I am a full-time student majoring in Psychology and Gender Studies. Ever since I’ve gone vegan, I’ve developed a love for cooking, baking and recipe making. My other passions include feminism, animal-rights activism, mental health and self-love advocacy.

Going vegan has completely changed my life for the better. I still enjoy the meals I enjoyed before going vegan, however now, they are prepared with mindfulness and plant-based sources. Ditching animal products has actually allowed me to discover foods I never would’ve tried before. I’ve started using natural and cruelty-free beauty products and toiletries, and have become environmentally conscious, always carrying my reusable fabric bags when I’m off to do a grocery haul. Above all things, my mental health has improved by living and eating this way. After struggling for years with disordered eating and disordered thoughts about my body, I have finally found some peace. For the first time in my life, I have formed a healthy relationship with food and I look at my body with gentle thoughts. I am so thankful for finding this lifestyle and I hope to inspire others to try live life the plant-based way.
